Our driving tours typically start and finish at central meeting points, that can be specified and confirmed when booking.

In some cases, we can arrange pickup from local train stations, hotels, or central meeting points within the Cotswolds area.

The duration of your tour depends on the itinerary you choose.

Our full-day tours last approximately 7 hours, while our half-day tours last approximately 4 hours.

Full-day tours allow more time to explore several Cotswold villages, enjoy scenic viewpoints and stop for lunch or refreshments.

Our half-day tours offer a shorter introduction to the Cotswolds, taking in a selection of the region’s highlights within a more compact itinerary.

Our driving tours are private, meaning it will be just you, your group and your guide.

This allows the itinerary to be flexible and tailored to your interests.

Our Land Rover Defender can accommodate 1–6 guests comfortably.

Food and drinks are not included as standard. However, our exclusive Expeditions Pass gives you access to special offers at selected local pubs, cafés and tearooms, where you can enjoy lunch or refreshments at preferential rates.

For those who prefer to enjoy lunch on the go, you can also pre-book a Cotswolds Expeditions Lunchtime Hamper, featuring a selection of locally sourced produce and traditional Cotswold favourites.

If you would like to add a hamper to your booking, please provide the number of guests and any dietary requirements at checkout. We will then confirm the available options with you.

The Cotswolds can be explored in all seasons. However we recommend:

• Comfortable walking shoes

• Weather-appropriate clothing.

• A light rain jacket (British weather can be unpredictable!)

The tour consists of driving between popular locations, with the ability to stop for short walks at smaller villages and scenic spots.

Leisure time is also included at larger Cotswold destinations, where you can explore at your own pace.

The amount of walking you choose to do at these stops is entirely up to you.

Yes. Our tours can often be customised to include specific villages, viewpoints, pubs, or attractions that interest you.

Yes. Families are welcome, and we can adjust stops and pacing to make the experience enjoyable for children as well as adults.

Our tours run in most weather conditions. The countryside is beautiful all year-round, and the vehicle allows us to stay comfortable between stops and locations.

We recommend booking well in advance of your visit, especially during spring, summer, and weekends, as tours fill up quickly.
